October Challenge at The Quilters Studio: Seasonal or Celebration with Glitz

Challenge #2 October 10th/due November 14th

Create a small art quilt with these ideas and bring to next meeting for show and tell

1. Inspired by a Holiday, Season or Celebration
2. Use some glitz (foil, Angelina, metallic threads, crystals, etc)
3. Use the design principal of Unity
Unity creates a sense of order and gives the elements the appearance of completeness, that they belong together.

Some thoughts on achieving Unity:
· Repetition, Color, Value, Shape, Line, Texture, Pattern, Proximity of elements, Similar shapes close together, Overlapping, Visual organization
· Unity without variety can be uninteresting. Vary the sizes and intervals (spacing)
