January Challenge: Textured Landscape

Challenge #5 January 9th/due February 13th

Create a small art quilt with these 3 ideas and bring to next meeting for show and tell

1. Landscape or Seascape (Horizon)
2. Add some Textures
3. Consider Perspective

Landscape or Seascape
· Horizon of some sort
· Can be the main feature of the quilt or just the background

Textures:
· Threadwork
· Fabric Manipulation
· Dimensional elements
· Embellishment
· Patterned fabrics

Perspective:
· Vanishing Point (If you look along a straight road, the parallel sides of the road appear meet at a point in the distance)
· Brighter /more detailed/larger closer
· Muted/less detailed/smaller farther away
