Pasta Challenge

The Quilters Studio – Art Quilt Challenge                               2nd Saturday of month 10:30 am (Sept to May)
Challenge #25                   3D Pasta Challenge                         March 10/due April 14th

Challenge:   Participate in The Quilters Studio Pasta Challenge, but with a twist.  Make your piece dimensional in some way.   Your piece does not need to be 100% made of the fabric pasta…it only needs to be a recognizable part of the piece.  Any size is fine.  Examples are folding, gathering, pleating, stuffing, padding, shrinking, layering, frayed edges, embellishments, and anything that raises the surface of the quilt, or it can be an actual 3D object, like an accessory or a bowl or a doll
Pasta Challenge
Pick up a grab bag of fabric pasta, and create something special. Our pasta is very thin strips of fabric cut from the fold when cutting fat quarters. (This will be a challenge!!) Return creation to the Shop by May 12 and they will hang in the Shop until May 31.
Pieces will be judged on originality and best use of pasta, and will be awarded first, second, and third places, as well as viewers choice.
A pasta dinner and award ceremony for all participants will be held Fri. June 8 At 6:30pm.
