Colleen H's 7 ways to crazy blocks |
- Deconstruct some of the blocks to build around one block as a center piece.
- Add borders to blocks to get all to the same size
- Use as scattered blocks in a modern quilt with lots of negative space
- Cut up and/or add to to make wonky blocks

- Heavier quilting to stabilize and avoid sagging of silk
- Some hand quilting on the left wing to capture similiar texture as right
- Could use silk thread for sheen
- Dense background quilting with more minimal on plants
- More feather type quilting on the bird
- Take off thick binding and replace with cotton facing

Comments/Ideas for quilting the finished top:
- Quilt along the lines in the fabric in the border and/or star
- Hand quilt big stitch with color in the neutral background
- Fancy feather or other design in the background
- Dense quilting in the background
- Quilt a kopapelli or other petroglyph in center
