Challenge 31 Spring 2013 Colors

The Quilters Studio – Art Quilt Challenge 
2^nd Saturday of month 10:30 am (Sept to May)

Challenge #31                   Spring Colors                     Jan 12^th / due Feb 10^th  

Challenge:  Use Pantone’s 2013 Color of the Year (Emerald) and/or Fashion Color Report Spring 2013 for your piece.  Second part of the challenge is to use a quilting pattern new to you.

Color Concepts from the Spring color scheme: 

·         Vivid color slightly shaded

·         Toned/grayed color as neutral (novel neutrals),

·         Soft brights slightly tinted or toned

If you don’t want to use the Spring 2013 colors, make your own color scheme using the color concepts

Example: Rich shade of purple, tones of yellow and blue-violet as the novel neutrals with tinted brights of red-violet, yellow-green and yellow-orange
