Challenge 43:  Fall to Winter (Transitions)   Seasons of nature, seasons of life

If spring and summer are childhood and young adult, fall is middle age and winter is old age.  What season are you in?  Many of us are in the autumn of our lives and transitioning or anticipating the winter of our lives.

For this challenge, use the idea of transition or seasons of Fall and/or Winter to create a quilt

What does Fall and Winter represent to you?

Fall:  bounty, release, change, maturity on the verge of decline, sadness, preparation

Winter: slumber, dormant, quiet, reflection, resignation/acceptance, gestation, recharging, bleak

Think about:

·         Balancing Darkness with Light  (the gifts of our inner and outer world)

·         Letting Go  (Autumn leaves can represent old memories or attitudes that are no longer useful and can be dropped)

·         Acknowledging impermanence  (Tibetan teacups)
