Challenge 45 - GRIDS

Art Quilt Challenge Group                  Dec 13, 2014 /due Jan 10, 2015         at Lyons Quilting

Challenge  45                           Grids -  Design and create a quilt using a grid

Grids have been used forever in traditional quilting, graphic design and art in general.  Grids allow you the structure to freely exercise your creativity without concern for format. Grids create order, unity and consistency and help with proportions. Experiment with a regular grid (even & straight like graph paper or pixels,) and/or modern grid (irregular, curved, partial, expanded, broken, offset, misaligned). Also, you don’t have to have lines & squares in your piece if you don’t want to, just use the grid layout to design it.
