Challenge 53  Celebrating Women and Sisterhood

Galentine’s Day is a holiday that originated on the TV show “Parks and Recreation” in celebration of women’s friendships. It occurs on February 13 (the day before Valentine’s Day).

Let’s celebrate Galentine’s Day by honoring women’s lives and sisterhood, female role models, women’s accomplishments, feminism, the female experience and the ideals of femininity.

Using the theme of Women and/or Sisterhood, make an art quilt, mixed media piece or anything else.

Some ideas: female friendship, famous women, women’s activities/interests/sports, a woman you admire, feminine style, Women’s History, motherhood, the female form,  feminism, women’s work, or women’s clothing.
