Let’s choose a phrase about Black to inspire us and use some amount of Black fabric in a small art quilt.

Black is associated with different moods and situations. It is a unique color which depicts power and authority, elegance, formality, death, evil, and clandestineness. It can be serious and conventional at the same time. It denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious.
